GUARANTEE

"The contractor warrants each new V-35/U Truck produced hereunder to be free from defects in material
and workmanship under normal use and service, contractor's obligation under this warranty being limited to
making good at its factory any part or parts thereof, including all equipment or trade accessories (except tires)
supplied by the contractor, which shall within one year after making delivery of such truck to the Government
or before such truck has been driven 4,000 miles, whichever event shall occur first, be returned to the contractor
with transportation charges prepaid; this being expressly in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied and
all other obligations or liabilities on contractor's part, and contractor neither assumes nor authorizes any other
person to assume for it any liability in connection with the sale of said trucks.
"The contractor shall not be liable for damage or deterioration to vehicles or parts occurring subsequent to
delivery and resulting from causes beyond the contractor's control and without contractor's fault including but
not limited to storage, handling or passage of time."
